Duration
September 2019 to November 2019
Client
Fuzhou Municipal Bus Company
Project Features
The Fuzhou Municipal Bus Company, which operates the Fuzhou BRT (opened early 2019), commissioned Far East Mobility to analyse the mode share of trips in the city by bus.
Far East Mobility Role
Far East Mobility developed a methodology based on a range of cordon counts, traffic counts, and counts of the mode used by people leaving large gated residential compounds in different part of the city. Mode share was also considered during different times of the day, days of the week and parts of the city, and included pedestrians and bikes as well as motor vehicles. As part of the project we identified, hired and trained a survey team, with the survey execution accompanied by Far East Mobility staff.
